Our Mission

To enable women to lead lives of dignity through career-led financial independence

Our Vision

To be the go-to institution for all matters related to ‘women and work’

About Vedica for Women

Vedica for Women is dedicated to questioning everyday practices, thinking deeply of solutions, and utilising the full potential of urban-educated women to drive a gender-balanced era of growth. We will inform, amplify and implement towards this end.

Vedica empowers urban educated women who, as catalysts of change, will create a more equal social, economic and political reality

Our flagship offering, The Vedica Scholars Programme for Women, has graduated over 650 young women over the last 9 years with a befitting start to their careers. (www.vedicascholars.com)

The Vedica Centre for Women’s Leadership (including the Vedica Case Centre) are envisioned to catalyse the ecosystem for women and work by building awareness, creating content and amplifying impact through key stakeholder platforms.

How the Vedica Centre for
Women’s Leadership Creates Impact

Awareness

By attracting attention to the serious problem of the decreasing participation of urban educated women in India’s workforce through consistent and systematic research, data collection, and dissemination

Amplification

By creating platforms that bring together government, industry, the development sector, and academia, and shifting the narrative to ‘women being a part of the solution’

Action

By equipping women with the education and competencies they need to thrive in the workforce, through an accessible and affordable world-class educational programme
